  What is it?

Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant in the body found in the liver.

Why is it essential?

1. Our antioxidant levels decrease as we age so supplementation is essential because factors such as free radicals (poor diet, smoking, pollution, UV exposure, toxic chemicals, etc) lead to aging, uneven the skin tone and damages skin.

2. Without glutathione, other important antioxidants such as Vitamins C & E cannot do their job adequately to protect our body against diseases.

3. Glutathione is the major detoxification agent of foreign chemical compounds such as carcinogens, transforming them into a form that can be excreted in urine or bile.

4. Glutathione enhances the immune system.

5. Glutathione is also an anti-aging compound since it aids in the breakdown of oxidized fats, thus slow down cell aging.

How does it whiten skin?

Glutathione helps whiten skin by inhibiting tyrosinase activity which then reverses melanin metabolism, turning dark pigmentations (euromelanin) into light pigmentations (phaeomelanin). The result is a whitening effect on the skin with a fresh and radiant glow.

Is it safe? Is there a danger of overdose?

Glutathione is safe; the higher its level, the greater the liver’s capacity to detoxify waste. There is no danger of overdose since it is a natural compound found in the body.

When will I see results?

In most cases, results become noticeable after 1-2 months of continuous use. However, the response will vary from one person to another depending on race, skin condition, general health, diet and environment.

What is the fastest and most effective form of taking it?

The intravenous route (injectable form) is the fastest and most effective way of taking glutathione since it is injected directly into the veins and is delivered through the bloodstream to all parts of the body.
