What is whitening peel?

It is a chemical peel using safe, hypoallergenic, fruit acid based solution formulated to exfoliate the skin – resulting in sloughing off of the upper layers of the epidermis, encouraging regeneration of new epidermal tissue. This results in skin rejuvenation, decreasing actinic damage and hyper-pigmentation, while reducing superficial wrinkle lines and acne comedones (pimples, blackheads and whiteheads). The type of peeling solution can be tailored to the specific needs of the patient.

What is it for?

It is best recommended to get rid of pigmentation disorders such as dark spots, freckles, pregnancy marks and age spots, even melasma. It ligthens skin tone gradually and safely and fades discolorations of the skin that may occur from exposure to the sun and pregnancy. It is also recommended for those to want to have a fairer skin tone.

What results can I expect?

You will notice a remarkable improvement in your skin texture and complexion. Deep pigmentation will lighten and eventually fade. Pores will decrease in size. You will have a smoother, visibly whiter skin.

How is whitening peel done?

Depending on the area to be treated, the area is cleansed and scrubbed, and a specially formulated fruit acid based solution is applied by our well-trained staff. This lasts for about 15-30 minutes per area per session. For the face, this constitutes a series of 3 consecutive sessions, as well as for the armpit. For other body parts, this constitutes a series of 5 consecutive sessions. After the last session, a customized regimen of medicines is given to the client to be applied to the specific area for maximum results.

Is it painful? Will it cause allergic reactions or redness?

Some clients report very minimal discomfort (some stinging or tingling) and a reddish hue. Yet these are natural reactions and the resultant radiant skin is well worth the effort. Our peeling solution has not been reported to cause allergic reactions because they are hypoallergenic.
